Do you seek time to connect with the divine, and find rest for your spirit?

You will love Sunday mornings at Olivet!

Olivet is currently offering an online worship service via the Zoom platform on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. If you are interested in joining these services, please contact the church office at 651-646-1478 or contact@olivetucc.net.

Worship is a time to find a deep spiritual connection with God. It is a time to renew the spirit, to be inspired and challenged by the timeless wisdom of the Biblical narrative, and to be comforted by the prayers and presence of the faith community.  Olivet is a community that honors the liturgical calendar as a spiritual practice, and celebrates Christian holidays in memorable ways. Whether your favorite is the festive greenery, children’s Christmas pageant, or candle-light Christmas Eve service, the quiet reflective season of Lent, or the deeply thoughtful events of Holy Week, or the celebratory Easter Lilies and egg hunt, you’ll find that seasons of the year are deeply meaningful at Olivet.  At Olivet, worship shines with music, and thought-provoking and inspiring poetic language.

-Weekly worship service at 10:00 a.m., followed by coffee hour
-Communion on the first Sunday of each month
-Classical music and hymnody, with frequent visiting artists and performances
-Healing prayers for the individual needs of the congregation and community
-Thought-provoking and inspiring messages from Olivet's pastor

Because we want children to learn to worship, and because we believe they grow in faith through worship, children are always welcome and encouraged to participate. We offer support and understanding to families as children grow and learn to worship.

Children’s Involvement in Worship

We encourage children to be actively involved during worship.  Children are invited to help with greeting, reading, ushering, and music.

Family Seating

Families with children may find it convenient to sit in the front of the sanctuary, near the side door.  This way, children are able to see the pastor and musicians clearly… and also to leave and return to worship through the side door as needed.

Nursery Care (age birth to 3)

We provide a staffed nursery with high quality toys and activities that help children learn the language of faith and important Bible stories.

Children’s Chapel (age 3 to6)

Children, age 3 through first grade are encouraged to participate in the first fifteen minutes of worship.  After the children’s sermon, they are invited to the children’s chapel where they will discover this week’s Bible story in hands-on ways, pray together, and play together.
